How would my children get in touch with Tipy, Flora and Zipp?
Your children can get in touch with Tipy, Flora and Zipp by sending an e-mail to camping-kids@vacansoleil.com. They will also receive a monthly newsletter from Tipy, Flora and Zipp. By clicking on the button 'Camping Kids' children can subscribe themselves to the monthly email. In this mail they can read lovely stories, be kept updated on competitions and read some good holiday tips. Camping Kids also have their own Facebook page.
Do Camping Kids have activities for teenagers?
Yes, there is a special entertainment programme for teenagers on most campsites. The programme includes tournaments, large games like Gotcha! and Stratego, special themed days for the family, evening shows and much more.
What does an average day consist of?
Each day is different with the Camping Kids. Most of the time there's a theatre and mini club in the mornings, where children can enjoy handicrafts or play games. In the afternoon there's often a sports tournament or another fun activity. In the evening there are regular shows and the mini disco. During the week there are dinner parties where children can have dinner with Tipy and Flora. On some Camping Kids campsites there are more activities in the evening, such as bingo, a quiz or a show.
Which language is spoken?
All our entertainers speak at least two languages. It depends on which country and campsite they work in as to which languages these are. The majority of the entertainers speak Dutch.
Are these entertainers trained? What is the criteria?
All of our entertainers have been screened and selected on their qualities and skills. They have have had intensive training in all aspects of the Camping Kids programme. A Camping Kids entertainer must be sociable, responsible and have knowledge of languages. Plus our entertainers have a good record for excellent behavior.
Who is is Camping Kids for?
The Camping Kids programme is ideal for all campsite guests. The characters Tipy, Flora and Zipp are popular with small children. The tournaments and Olympics are a hit with teenagers and adults. Plus, many of the campsites organise themed days with games and Olympics for the whole family. The evening shows are fun for both children and adults. Children under the age of four can only participate in the Camping Kids programme when supervised by their parents.
How can I make a reservation?
You can make a reservation via the Vacansoleil website www.vacansoleil.co.uk or by calling 0333 700 50 50. If you want to find out which campsite suits you best and which campsites have Camping Kids, visit the Vacansoleil website www.vacansoleil.co.uk where you can check out the info online or order a free brochure.
Is the Camping Kids team there for the full season?
It differs on each campsite. Every Camping Kids campsite has at least one programme in July and August. If you have any questions about a particular campsite, please contact Vacansoleil on 0333 700 50 50.
Do I have to pay to join in with the Camping Kids programme?
Everyone can join the Camping Kids programme for free. Some campsites ask for a small fee for the dinner party or bingo.
I know someone who would be ideal to work as an entertainer. How can he/she apply?
We are always looking for good entertainers. You can apply by completing an application form on-line at www.campingjobs.nl.
My child has a friend on the campsite that has not booked with Vacansoleil. Can he/she also join in with the Camping Kids programme?
Yes, no problem! Everyone is more than welcome.
Is there a mini disco every day?
Most campsite have a daily mini disco.
Is there any Camping Kids merchandise?
Yes. Click on the button for the 'web-shop' to purchase merchandise online.
My child is nervous about joining in. Can I come too?
Yes, parents are more than welcome.
My children are looking for the friends they met on the campsite. How can they get in touch?
Children can become Facebook friends via the Camping Kids Facebook page.
